“Hey, you, guys. Scout ahead. Far ahead.” Luxor tried to trick the pixies.
“Stop that, besides, they may be helpful.” Amy insisted.
“How can we trust them after they attacked us?”
“The same reason we can’t. They’re very strong and defensive.”
“Fine. You’re going to be the front line of defense.” Luxor said. “The king won’t miss a couple insects if you die.” Everyone looked at Luxor with hurt expressions.
“What?” He asked, as if he didn’t actually know why everyone looked at him.
They walked the rest of the day in silence, with the exception of Luxor’s complaining and rumbling tummy.
“If you’re going to complain, maybe you shouldn’t have tagged along!” Xavier scowled at Luxor.
“Sheesh. Calm your hormones buddy.” Luxor laughed as Xavier rolled his eyes.
“Luxor’s right. I am getting hungry, and it is a bit of a walk.” Arthur admitted.
“All right. For Arthur’s sake, we will rest. It is getting a bit dark.” Xavier said, although he needed the rest himself.
“What about the Queen?” Amy protested. “Won’t she get stronger?”
“We can’t fight the Queen without energy, now can we?” Xavier explained, rhetorically.
