Chapter 4: The Quest

“That was awesome!” Arthur exclaimed. “He swung on a vine and kicked it away from you at the last second! You were awesome, too! The way you handled those five! Are you two friends?”
“NO!” Both the man and Xavier yelled.
“Who are you, by the way?” Xavier questioned the stranger. “Friend or foe? What are you doing in these parts?” He was looking at a 5”7 man with blonde hair, clean-shaven, and lighter skin than him. He had a green cloth shirt with a red cloak and a black belt with grey pants. He had a scabbard and a sword, too.
“I am Luxor, and I am friend. In fact, I saved you! You should be thanking me. I was here because I was just wandering, having fun.” The man said.
Xavier held his sword at the man’s throat. “Tell me the truth, or you won’t see daylight ever again.” Xavier threatened.
“That is the truth.” Luxor choked. “You’re cra-zy.” He gasped as Xavier removed the sword. “You have to be careful.” He tried to smile as the kids looked at him in horror. “For all we knew, he could have been a spy, sent from the Rouge Queen. She’s been after me for a long time, you know.”
“You’re going to the queen? Can I come along?” Luxor begged.
“This is no trip for foolish children like you.” Luxor looked at Amy and Arthur, the two standing innocently.
“Ahem? What about those two? Besides, I saved you! That’s the least you could do!”
“Okay. We’re on a quest to defeat her, get the two back home, and restore peace to Kretopia.”
“Sounds like a lot. I’m not a multi-tasker.”
“We’re only doing one thing, idiot. Those are the results of defeating her!”
“Ohh. I get it.”
“If you tell one person about this it will be off with your head.”
“Calm down. You can trust me.”
“Can I?”
“SHUT UP!” Arthur screamed. “Sorry, but arguing won’t get us anywhere. You can come with us if you two will get along.”
“It’s either me or him.” Xavier said.
“Urghhh!” Arthur groaned.
Then it was Amy’s turn to speak. “Stop it, both of you! You’re both acting like foolish children. Who knows what creatures we’ve attracted?”
