Chapter 6: Dangers on the Road

The pixies saw this, and quickly flew between Arthur and the wolf’s jaws, catching Arthur and lifting him away. They brought him in another tree and went back to fight the wolf. They jabbed at it with such speed that the wolf didn’t have enough time to kill any pixies. The pixies buzzed around it, jabbing, as the wolf swatted the air with a paw, unable to get any. Finally, the pixies all formed a circle around the wolf, and went in for the kill.
They returned safely, and up until the end of the forest Arthur told everyone about the wolf. At the end of the forest was a calm dirt road, the only place with few monsters or creatures. In fact, for the past month, there hadn’t been any except for three, and with that in mind, they took the dirt road, knowing that it was their best option.
They walked along exchanging stories and jokes to pass the time, not to mention the singing (they did little of that, because, although the odds were slim, they didn’t want to attract any monsters.) It was long, but they made it halfway across the road before the sun started to set; then they camped for the night.
