“He’s seriously injured. We need to lay him down on a bed so I can properly treat him!” He asserted.
“There’s the giant’s house. By the way, my name’s Amy, and this is my friend Arthur.” Amy said.
“Oh, forgive me for not being a gentleman. My name’s Xavier.” Xavier introduced himself, embarrassed. “Do you know if anyone else is in there?”
“I didn’t go in there, but Arthur did. There was a young centaur, but that was a victim of the giant, and it got away.”
“Where did it go? It may be wounded, too!”
“It ran away into the trees. That was the last I saw of it.”
Xavier and Amy lifted Arthur’s body into the giant’s house and onto the floor (they realized the bed was too big). He knelt over Arthur and checked his wound. Arthur, who did not know what was happening, opened his eyes to find a stranger holding him on their knees. “Ahh!” Arthur screamed.
“It’s okay.” Amy’s voice was comforting because it told him that everything was okay. “He’s with us.”
“Names Xavier.” Xavier introduced himself with cheerfulness and a grin on his face. “You must be Arthur.”
“What happened?” Amy and Xavier explained everything from Arthur’s injury and the killing of the giant to helping him.
“How can I repay you?!?” Arthur asked bewildered.
“It’s a deed that doesn’t need to be repaid.” Xavier said in nobility. “For now I need to get you two home to your parents. Where do you live?”
“We live somewhere off this island. Do you have a boat?” Arthur asked and then he explained his story.
“Oh, no!” Xavier laughed. “You can’t get off this cursed and magical island. The only way is by defeating the Rouge Queen.” He explained.
“Then that’s what I intend on doing!” Arthur said firmly.
